InnerSpace and Show Extensions

Yesterday Teddy Wilson and the crew from InnerSpace came up to shoot a piece on my show at Seven Crowns Tattoo and the intersection between tattooing and comics. It was a great day and I will keep you posted as to when the piece will air which will probably be in about two weeks. Due to the popularity of the show and the demand for comics we have extended the run of the show into April so lots of time to come up to 2499 Yonge Str. and have a look. Keep coming back to this spot or follow me on twitter (@madcraftshoppe) to find out when I'll be in the shop drawing pictures and signing comics.

My Day At Seven Crowns

Had a good day on Thursday hanging out and drawing at Seven Crowns Tattoo, did a couple of commissions, sold some comics and got a couple of sweet little bangers from my good friend Matthew Ellis one of the owners. I will be back this Thursday from 12-7pm for another day of drawing and signing comics at 2499 Yonge Street. come on up.

Comics Now Available At the Silver Snail and the Beguiling

Very happy to announce that the Homeless G-Men, Crypto Zombic and Battle Rally are now available at two of the best shops in Toronto, the Beguiling (Mirvish Village) and the Silver Snail (Yonge Str.). It is a pretty big dream come true this project every aspect from finishing them, getting the copies, having the launch and now putting them into the shops, it just feels new, and better each time something happens, enjoy them.

And I will be doing a letters column in the next issue so please send in your impressions of the first issues.

On a sadder note today was the last day of operations for Comics & More on the Danforth, I am very sad to see the store close, it's been my local shop for the past three years, always sad when we lose a business.

Signing and Drawing Today At Seven Crowns Tattoo

Hey all just a quick post to let you know that I'll be signing comics and drawing pictures

and comic pages at Seven Crowns Tattoo today from 12-7pm.

Seven Crowns is located at 2499 Yonge Str. second floor, closest subway stop is

Eglinton Station.

I'll post some photos of what I drew today when I get home, I'll also be there next Thursday

Take A Tour Of Seven Crowns

We had a great time on Saturday and guess what, the show is up until the March 7th.

I will be at Seven Crowns this Thursday signing comics and drawing all day so come up to 2499 Yonge Street and say hi and have a look at the show, flip through comics and hang for a bit at the best tattoo parlour in Toronto.

The Battle Rally Has Arrived!

 

Just in the nick of time BATTLE RALLY has arrived from the printers! "The roar of engines, the smell of burning diesel fuel, the sound of a million fans chanting as the vehicles line up at the starting line. Pulses race, sweat drips and teeth clench as the checkered flag is waved and the Rally drivers race towards glory. Explosions light up the sky, screams mix with the screeching of tires, only the brave, only the bold, only the crazy dare to race. There's only one place where life, death and vehicular racing come together for your entertainment and that place is THE BATTLE RALLY. Dare to buy a ticket?

Take Galactus Bowling!

Here's the third and final print that I'll have available at Seven Crowns Tattoo, this is a combination of digital inking/colouring and importing a drawing. I'm getting better at combining spray and brush effects and I think this turned out just fine.

So come on out on Sat. Feb 7th to Seven Crowns Tattoo, I will have artwork and comics available to peruse and purchase.

Joker/Harley, Hulk vs. Hulkbuster

Here are the two prints that will be for sale at the show at Seven Crown's Tattoo on Saturday (show opens at 8pm) I may be able to get one more finished, I had hoped to do more but was laid low last week by some kind of illness that left me lethargic and unable to do anything right, I ruined three or four almost finished drawings - it was a bad scene.

Last night I did a short interview with Matthew Kirshenblatt at Geekpr0n and I'll post a link to that when it comes up.

Today I 'll just be mucking about putting the finishing touches on stuff for the show, putting drawings in frames and staring out the window mournfully waiting for the UPS truck to arrive with the Battle Rally comics - I really hope they get here before Saturday.

Oh yeah, I'm also doing ComiCon toronto in March, more details on that as they come up
